Movies and Trailers

Hello again!

So i thought I would have heaps of time to 'blog' but evidently I don't... or I am just lazy!

Ok so I went to see 'The Last Song' the other night with some of my friends and I came out of the movie a little disappointed :( seriously the people who make the trailers for movies are very sneaky! Trailers can make movies look so amazing and then when you see them you realise that either all the good/funny parts were in the trailer (so you've already seen them 100 times) or they are absolutely nothing like what you thought the movie would be about causing almost instant disappointment. There should be some kind of rule that makes them follow true to the movies actual plot, not something made up of smooshed together scenes! Like for instance the movie 'Georgia Rule'
-
that trailer made me think that I was going to be seeing a movie about a mother and daughter going to spend the summer with the grandmother and how they don't get along but then they learn to love each other inspite of their differences (oh how lovely) but oh boy was I wrong!!! The movie is actually about Lindsay Lohan's character and her past. The mum isn't even in most of the movie... the trailer threw me right off!
Oh and like 'The Bounty Hunter' wtf was up with that movie! c'mon Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, you guys are better than that! The trailer made it seem like it was purely about a man trying to get his ex-wife to jail as it was his job as a bounty hunter to do so and that over that time they realise they miss each other and blah blah blah but actually it has like 4 other side stories going on at once.! It was way too much... They would have been better just sticking to that one plot line and focussing on that, making it funnier or whatever but they didn't and it sucked! I would only give it 2 stars, if that. See the trailer told you one thing and you got something else - instant disappointment :(
Don't get me wrong, I still love watching trailers because I love movies so I still believe that what I see in them will actually be what the movie is like/about but I suppose I am now just a little more skeptical. never judge a movie by it's trailer

Anyway back to 'The Last Song'. I love, love, love Miley and I was super stoked to see this movie, but something just wasn't quite right about it! I mean, it was a good movie and as the movie progressed it got better but I dunno it just didn't do it for me. (which
kills me to sad)
Miley plays a character names Ronnie who is little bit dark and angry after her parents divorce many years earlier and she and her brother go to stay with their dad, who they never see anymore, for the summer. Ronnie is not pleased by this so she acts like a little bitch to everyone around her. I think that Miley is an amazing actress but she just couldn't pull off 'bitch' I don't know if it's because of the whole Hannah Montana thing or not but I just didn't believe her which just made me laugh on certain scenes instead of feeling anger or saddness which I suppose I was supposed to be feeling. But as the movie continued and Ronnie became less of a bitch, the movie got heaps better :) Then of course in the movie Ronnie falls in love....awwww.... and that love story has its fair share of ups and downs in the small amount of time that they are dating (but hey what teen love story in a movie doesn't). Liam Hemsworth plays her love interest in the movie (and in real life) and although I don't think that he is super hot, I do love the fact that he is an Aussie and I especilly love the fact that he is from Philip Island which is pretty close to where I live so theoretically the chances of me ever meeting Miley just doubled... hahaha!
I will of course be seeing this movie again even though it didn't knock my socks off... I give it 3 stars!

Before I go I thought I would just let you all know that I am planning to help Ellen with her WORLD DOMINATION! I have ordered some things of her website and I plan on going around Melbourne with these items (and my friends) taking pictures and sending them into her. This way she will know that she has begun to dominate Melbourne! I think Ellen is hilarious and an inspiration to us all ... click here to watch a clip of her dancing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNpBN0mPwJ4
I will try to post again soon,
keep reading and always keep smiling :)

Random Dancing

While watching iCarly today (thats right i am 23 and watch iCarly) they have a part on their show where they do random dancing... That got me thinking... How much fun would it be if that happened in real life!!! Like all the sudden a loud voice boomed "RANDOM DANCING" and then everyone would immediately have to stop what they are doing and just dance! I think it would be sooo much fun! Now i am not a good dancing, actually to be honest i suck, but it wouldnt matter cos everyone would be dancing! Plus think of what a good stress relief it would be for all, you could let out all your frustration in random spurts of dancing! I think i might put the proposition to the government, what do u think??? hehe
Speaking of iCarly... I dont actually watch that often but I do follow Jennette McCurdy (who plays Sam) on Twitter and she great, and has an amazing voice! She occasionally posts some tweets that direct u to her singing on youtube and WoW she is awesome! Here's one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ht2O4Hmdkw I urge u all to listen to the awesome-ness that is her voice :)

Anyway Kardashians is on now so can't blog while they are on, i have to pay attention to the most crazy, hilarious, swell family that America has to offer ;)

My very first Blog :)

So not exactly sure what I should be doing in a blog or should i say writing about but i have found myself with a bit of time on my hands and A LOT of thoughts so i figure why not share them with anyone willing to read...

It's a friday afternoon and I'm sitting at home alone watching Bandslam...
I love this movie, although it's not something I could watch over and over again. I can on the other hand listen to the songs over and over again!
Vanessa Hudgens character kind of annoys me. She plays it well but I dont get the whole 'monotone' voice thing, it's just weird and I think unnecessary. Lisa Kudrow is probs the best character in the movie. I have loved her since friends and she just brings a great comedic sense to the movie. Alyson Michalka is great in this movie also, I love her voice and this movie allowed her to show everyone what she is capable of. And the boy that plays Will Burton - Gaelan Connell - seems to be a natural. He has this dorky charm about him that makes him so accessible. The movie is filled with awkward moments, teenage drama, love traiangles and most importantly GREAT singing/music! So all in all, good movie and I would def recommend it for people who like music based movies and for those who like movies that are easy to watch!
I would give it

Anyway this afternoon/evening I am babysitting for 2 little kids that I have never met before. I haven't even met the parents before. They must be a pretty trusting couple to allow a 'stranger' to look after there kids all night. I find that a bit strange... does anyone else find that strange?
I mean I am a good babysitter/nanny with a good reputation but still for all they know i could be a weirdo!

Well thanks for reading my very first blog... i know it was not that interesting but when I get the hang of this whole 'blogging' thing I will be able to make it better :)
Until next time, keep smiling...
